Christmas Eve

Mommy & I

7 months

Joshua is 7 months old today! Time flew and mommy's been getting something new each day. Josh is taking solid food that mommy makes for him. So far he likes rice cereal and sweet potatoes. He has also tried zucchini, banana, apple and avocado. Mommy will give him pear and broccoli soon. Lately Josh has a very good appetite. He can down 2 ice-cube sized sweet potatoes, 2 scoops of rice cereal, and 8 oz of milk at a time. According to grandma and aunt Neslie (currently on vacation), the way he takes milk is like the "cap" is off the bottle and he can finish 6 oz in less than 5 minutes! He is definitely a speedy eater.

Physically, he likes being placed in the crawling position. He rolls faster and it's been hard to change/bathe him. He can sit without support (big thigh and butt make him stable). He can almost push himself to a sitting position. He is still sucking his fingers, especially left hand's 2nd & 3rd fingers. He has less drool and rash is getting better. He has no teeth yet. He is now interested in toys. He smiles and laughs out loud more. He is more attentive. He tries to get attention by babbling. He admires and is aware of cousin Anson. Stranger anxiety kicks in at times.

Mommy's keeping up breastfeeding, making baby food, and maintaining a food log for Josh to monitor potential food allergy.
