100 Day Party

Mommy and daddy hosted a 100 Day Party for Joshua at Hong Kong Flower Lounge in Millbrae. About 100 guests attended the party. Josh was very fussy during daytime. Mommy and daddy were worried that he would spoil the evening. Surprisingly, he behaved well at the restaurant even he was held by strangers. Once again it proved that Josh likes noisy places and being surrounded by people. It was the first time mommy put a pair of sneakers on Josh. As he was born in warm weather, he never worn shoes until the banquet. He looked smart in the outfit! Mommy and daddy had a great time celebrating with relatives and friends.

3 month

Josh is three month old today. He gets up twice throughout the night between 2 to 3 am and 5 to 6 am now. He is happy and smiles after feeding when sitting on the bouncer. He takes longer naps and is easier sleeping in. He likes people talking to him and noisy places. He likes staying with grandma and cousin Anson when mommy goes to work. Mommy and daddy will spend tummy time with Josh daily from now on. His tummy is getting bigger and he needs exercise to strengthen his neck, arms and legs. Josh weighs ~13 lbs (?). Other than being away from Josh, mommy is doing fine at work. So far Josh needs a little more time adjusting to be fed with the bottle. He is not quite as happy as being fed on the breast, but mommy knows he will get better.

Back to Work

Mommy's back to work today. Little Josh did not take the bottle in the morning! He cried and refused to take the thawed breast milk. Grandma was panic for a while. After soothing him and changing diaper, Josh took it finally! Phew!! Otherwise mommy will have to take another month off... Other than the bottle crisis, Josh behaved well. He smiled, fell asleep easily, and slept through the day. Grandma gave him 90 points! Mommy went to visit Josh during lunchtime. He was happy and smiled to mommy. Josh will be away from mommy longer and he has to learn to be independent from now on. Mommy will work harder when thinking of Josh.

Making friends

We went to visit 2-month old Chloe and 4-year old Lucas in Vacaville. Josh is three weeks older than Chloe and she weighs 12 lbs. They are about the same size but Chloe looks bigger! Josh will be good friends with them.

It was Josh's first 1-hour road trip. Mommy and daddy were quite worried that Josh might not have the patience to sit for an hour. Luckily he slept all the way and woke for his feed nearby the last exit. Coming back was also ok even we hit the traffic. Mommy and daddy stopped by Emeryville for dinner and Josh again slept through the meal. Mommy gave Josh 100 points!

Cats

Thanks aunties ("E por") and grandma for babysitting Josh & Anson. Mommy, daddy, auntie Neslie & uncle Alex and other friends got a chance to see Cats, the Broadway show performed by students at Ohlone College. The boys behaved well according to the aunties.
