Hong Kong -Josh's 20 months & Miscellaneous

Mommy was so thankful for everyone to make time for gathering. All the laysee and gifts for Joshua will be put in good use. Thank you very much!!! It was nice seeing you all and we had a wonderful time staying in HK!

Joshua passed his 20 months in Hong Kong. He said "唉" a lot and turned away to express his disagreement. Surrounding by Cantonese, he picked up more words and phrases and his favorite lines were, "坐巴士" and "坐地鐵". He recognized people well. For the new ppl he met in HK, he recognized them the second time he saw them and called out names too. Also, he started to shy away from ladies...

Having first dinner with the Tsangs and the Cheungs.

No, Pooh's hug is not warmer than mommy/daddy's...
Meeting the Hons, our good old neighbors in Stanley.
Father-and-son escalating at Times Square.

Of the street food, Josh loved 雞蛋仔. Just like mommy.
What is your little hand doing?

Yes, another photo shot...

Having buffet at Kowloon Hotel with Sze Man.

Hope the boys did not bring Carmen 表姨 a bad experience...

Checking out CNY deco on Tai Yuen Street, Wan Chai.

Having dessert at Temple Street district.

One of mommy and daddy's finest moment in HK was taking Joshua to Victoria Park. It was peaceful and simple at the precious green spot amid the crowd. Josh enjoyed a lot. He laughed and ran happily.

An usual way the boys greet/see each other.

The boys slept almost all the way en route to SF. Excellent!!!

Hong Kong 6 -Stanley

Lots of memories in Stanley. It's the origin that mommy spent her childhood there. The little place has changed a lot over the years and many familiar faces or specifics were gone already. But it still has the unique calm and peaceful atmosphere that one can hardly find in another part of HK. Por Por and Tai E went with us and it took forever for them to walk out of Stanley Main Street as they stopped by the old stores to talk to the owners that they have known for many many years....

"Tai Pai Tong", 四益/文益 was a must-go place. The 西多士 and 魚皮 were still good. However, mommy was disappointed that 魚片 was not available. After lunch, we took a stroll with the boys.

Since it was windy and dark by the time we finally walked out the Main Street, we did not get a chance to stop by St. Stephen's College -mommy and Auntie Neslie's 母校.

Hong Kong 4 -Jonah

One of Joshua's favorite days was visiting Jonah. He was very busy exploring the toys and being accompanied by his little friend! Jonah was very cute and he and Auntie Angela looked so much alike!!! He was about the same size (or bigger) as Joshua at 12+ months. Jonah was very charming and he was not afraid of strangers.

Mommy was very thankful for all that Auntie Angela had to offer. Despite all the help and caring, another 20+ years of friendship will go on...

Next time, let's visit Stanley and St Kee together...

Hong Kong 3 -Quentin

Quentin was a cute chubby baby at ~2.5 months. Mommy was worried that the outfits that she got for him wouldn't fit... He was calm and laid in his moving crib while the adults were chatting. Joshua enjoyed his company with Uncle Joe a lot. He was a little shy meeting Aunties Jackie and Rachel. He started to shy away when being approached by ladies in HK. hahaa... Where did he learn that from?? Josh was scouting around The Tams and he was excited to see all the Lego displays.

p.s. -Rachel, please send me the group photos taken with your camera...
*Thanks Jackie for sending me these two pix!

hm.. Quentin was seriously thinking....

Hong Kong 1 -Anthony's Wedding

Our first trip to Hong Kong was unforgettable. The boys were good en route to HK/SF. Joshua took a week adjusting to the new place and his weight lost significantly. He regained his energy in the second week. Anson enjoyed himself and ate a lot from the beginning!!!

Many photos were taken during the trip. Mommy is trying to include everyone. For those of you who don't see yourselves in my HK series, I probably don't have you in my camera. Send me the photos so that I can complete my collection. Enjoy!
