Anniversary Dinner

Joshua was taken to the 12th Anniversary dinner at House of Prime Ribs by mommy and daddy. He was very excited seeing the Chef carving the meat from the cart and the waitress spinning the bowl to mix the salad. In terms of eating, well he only tasted bread, corn, mashed potato, creamy spinach... no prime ribs at all!!! The food was still very delicious. Josh sat through the entire dinner. We also went to have Italian ice cream at Marco Polo afterward.

Two Year Old Well Check

Weight: 25 lb 16 oz
Height: 35 in
Head circumference: 19 in

According to Dr. Ali, Joshua has been doing great. In terms of weight, it's not dropping and he has been eating ok. Milk should be cut back and hopefully Josh would eat more varieties.

Sleeping habit is good. Josh is quite consistent sleeping on the mattress since he was moved from the crib last November. If he happens to wake and walk to our room in the middle of the night, daddy will take him back to his room and he always sleep in.

Brushing teeth is still a battle. This is one of the ongoing challenges for mommy and daddy. Just have to keep trying.

Potty training has not been completed. He has been instructed to pee in the toilet, but there is no pattern and routine established yet. No signs of awareness of wet/soiled diapers.

At two year of age, Joshua understands almost completely what we tell/instruct him. He follows instructions well (if he is welling to do so). He is shy in nature and takes time to warm up when being taken to new places. He is usually ok after 15-20 minutes.

Sometimes, he whispers "mama" and comes to give a smooch/hug. So sweet for a boy to do so. He knows how to let go a toy when told to clean up and leave a playground when it's time to go home. Mommy and daddy shop and walk with him to the toy section. He can touch and look at any toys. No picking up and buying of toys at the scene. He says "bye bye" when done with browsing. So far no dramas upon leaving and mommy and daddy are so proud of him.

First birthday celebration in class

In future school years, Joshua will probably have birthday celebrations with his classmates. For this first time celebration in the tiny-tot class, daddy baked cup cakes, mommy and Auntie Neslie did the frosting.
