Pre-Celebration

To celebrate in advance for mommy's birthday, Auntie Neslie reserved a table at a Jamaican restaurant. The boys seemed to like Jamaican food and they tried to befriend with the chef. They enjoyed playing at the patio.

Eating Noodle 123...

Joshua prefers eating independently now. Mommy cuts noodles, veggie and meat into pieces to serve him. It is still messy, but Josh is improving. Mommy has taught him using fork and spoon and he is learning.

No Sushi?

Too bad that Joshua didn't seem to like Japanese food. Mommy offered him Eel over rice, but Josh preferred eating plain rice and tofu cubes given by the kind waitress!

14 Months Hair Cut

長毛飛
靚仔晒!

我有型嗎?

Joshua received his second hair cut on the day he turned 14 months. Like the first time, he behaved well and sat for almost 30 minutes at the infant seat designed as a car. Mommy held and moved his head to cooperate Tina, the hair stylist. Josh was curious and he stared at Tina at times, especially when she turned on the shaver. There was no drama and Josh sat through the whole process patiently. Mommy couldn't wait to give him a big kiss when finished!

Josh is chasing Anson around the house and they are just too fast. Watching the boys for a day is exhausting! There are no excuses that any mothers could retain extra fats if caring for a toddler 24/7!!! Going to work is a lot easier physically and at least there are breaks to chat with colleagues and grab a cup of coffee.

Grandfather's Birthday

Poor Josh got a cold from daddy. His nose was running and mommy could hear phlegm in his coughing. Fortunately there was no fever. Mommy urged daddy to get some herbs from Dr. Wei and was advised that 貝燉雪梨 is a good natural remedy for infants. Mommy went to pick up some 貝 from Chinese pharmacy but couldn't find 雪梨 (off season) in Chinatown and Ranch 99. Finally mommy got some Asian pears and hoped that it would work. After two doses of 貝燉雪梨 prepared by Por Por, Joshua's coughing and phlegm cleared up. His running nose lingered for a few days and he recovered within a week. Daddy also recovered after 4 doses of herbs.

Despite his sickness, Joshua behaved well on grandfather's birthday.
