Poor Josh got a cold from daddy. His nose was running and mommy could hear phlegm in his coughing. Fortunately there was no fever. Mommy urged daddy to get some herbs from Dr. Wei and was advised that
川貝燉雪梨 is a good natural remedy for infants. Mommy went to pick up some
川貝 from Chinese pharmacy but couldn't find 雪梨 (off season) in Chinatown and Ranch 99. Finally mommy got some Asian pears and hoped that it would work. After two doses of
川貝燉雪梨 prepared by Por Por, Joshua's coughing and phlegm cleared up. His running nose lingered for a few days and he recovered within a week. Daddy also recovered after 4 doses of herbs.
Despite his sickness, Joshua behaved well on grandfather's birthday.
